I had a great evening at Warwick Folk Club yesterday, supporting Acoustic Union. Kirsty Daniels, who has recently moved to Warwickshire, joined me again on flute and was superb. We were very well-received and complimented by the main act, which was very nice of them.
Acoustic Union perform pop and rock covers on a variety of instruments. I wasn't too sure how this would work but they made each song their own, were excellent musicians and such fun that you couldn't help but be carried along. I particularly enjoyed 'A Little Respect' by Erasure with the synth hook played on banjo. It really worked!
Thanks to Norman Wheatley for inviting us. (Sorry there's no photo of Kirsty.)
